Community Reinvestment in Action: Just Imagine Child Care Center

Community Reinvestment Impact!

Spotlighting Business Investment Awardees.  Awardee: Just Imagine Child Care

Just Imagine Child Care Center was awarded a $10,000 Business Investment Grant from the Spokane Workforce Council. This funding will help with much-needed repairs to their facility, ensuring that the center continues to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children. Just Imagine Child Care Center has long been a trusted resource for families, offering high-quality care and early education that supports the development and growth of Spokane’s youngest residents.

Founded on the principles of inclusivity and education, Just Imagine Child Care Center has built a reputation for creating a warm, welcoming environment where children can explore, learn, and thrive.

Bianka DeSure,  Program Coordinator at the Spokane Workforce Council, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership with Just Imagine Child Care Center, stating, “The Spokane Workforce Council is thrilled to support Just Imagine Child Care Center with this grant. Their commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education aligns perfectly with our mission to strengthen the workforce by investing in the next generation. By helping to maintain and improve their facility, we are ensuring that children in our community have access to the safe, stimulating environments they need to grow and succeed.”

We understans how crucial it is to provide quality early childhood education. It is more than just preparation for primary school, it is a critical period where children develop essential cognitive, emotional, and social skills that will influence their future learning and life outcomes. Quality early childhood programs, like those offered at Just Imagine Child Care Center, provide children with the foundational skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. These programs also support working parents by providing reliable, nurturing care, allowing them to participate fully in the workforce.

The SWC strongly believes that investing in early childhood education is an investment in the future of our community, which is why we established our Reconnect2Work childcare impact project in 2023. Workforce development hinges on high-quality early learning that takes stress off parents so they can focus on providing for their families and increases economic opportunity. Research definitively shows that children who receive quality early education are more likely to excel academically, graduate from high school, and pursue higher education or vocational training. They are also more likely to develop strong social skills, demonstrate positive behaviors, and become productive members of society. Through partnerships like the one between Spokane Workforce Council and Just Imagine Child Care Center, we can ensure that every child in our community has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
