City of Spokane sets aside $500K for rent assistance – Spokane Workforce Council to manage

Spokane, WA – The City of Spokane has announced that $500,000 in funding from the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development will be made available to tenants in Spokane who are struggling to make rent payments during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Spokane Workforce Council was chosen as the nonprofit to oversee the program. Funds will be dispersed through the Spokane Resource Center, which has infrastructure already in place for rent assistance and can quickly mobilize to make resources available to area residents.
