WorkSource System Conference

The WorkSource System Conference is an annual event that offers professional development and networking opportunities.

The Spokane Workforce Council invites team members from WorkSource Spokane, the Next Generation Zone, Resource Center of Spokane County, YWCA, Goodwill, Spokane Community College, Spokane Falls Community College, Spokane County Libraries, and Spokane Public Libraries to gather together for a full day of professional development and networking. All of these organizations work together to prepare job seekers for success and support employers in finding great local talent, and we are committed to providing consistent, high-quality professional development for this group of talented colleagues.

After canceling the event in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, we are excited to be bringing this event back in-person for 2022! The conference will be a full day of professional development that will focus on our theme of “Reconnect and Revive,” bringing our teams back together in person to engage and re-energize for the important work ahead.

Date: June 24, 2022
Time: 8:15am-4:30pm
Where: Spokane Community College, Building 6, The Lair

WORKSOURCE SYSTEM CONFERENCE 2019

In its second year, we welcomed close to 130 attendees for another day of professional development and networking on June 21, 2019. The theme this year was Business as Customer, and we heard from Phil Blair, Executive Officer of Manpower San Diego, for our morning keynote. Another highlight was our lunch panel where attendees got to hear from representatives from each of our partner connection sites about the services they offer and new initiatives they are working on (panelists and attendees represented WorkSource, Next Generation Zone, Spokane Public Library, Spokane Community College, Spokane County Library District, YWCA, and Spokane Resource Center).

WORKSOURCE SYSTEM CONFERENCE 2018

In its inaugural year, we hosted 120 attendees from WorkSource, Next Generation Zone, YWCA, Spokane Community College, Spokane Falls Community College, Spokane County Library District and Spokane Public Libraries. We offered 12 workshops with over 30 speakers, a morning keynote, and a lunchtime panel discussion with HR professionals from local businesses. A team of leaders from WorkSource and Connection Sites worked together to design the program, ensuring sessions would be of interest to staff and provide relevant professional development.
