Our Childcare Basics + class will get you ready and certified to go to work in a licensed center in 5 weeks. We’ll connect you to early childhood learning centers that are hiring.
The first training cohort started in July 2023 with funding from Spokane County, and we will be holding future cohorts later this year and early next.

"Our region is approximately 430 early childhood educators short, if following national averages and according to the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families, Spokane County is at an estimated “need met” percentage of 25.65% for children age birth to 5 whose families are above the State Subsidy threshold of 60% SMI. That means that only one quarter of families with kids ages 0-5 have access to the childcare they need.
