Our largest event to-date with 113 employers and over 1,400 job seekers. Watch the video above for highlights!
Although it can be challenging to track hires made as a result of job fairs, we know of 57 job offers that were made as a direct result of this event. In addition, one month after the event, 60% of employers surveyed indicated that they were still vetting promising candidates and may make more job offers.

Event Outcomes
We welcome new sponsor/partner KREM 2 and hosted 57 vendors with 330 attendees at the 2019 event.
Spokane County Commissioner Josh Kerns gave words of welcome on behalf of the County, and Mayor David Condon’s declaration that October 2019 was Disability Employment Awareness Month was read.
WorkSource offered prep sessions for job seekers with higher attendance than in previous years. The Talent Solutions Team also offered a training webinar for employers ahead of the event.

We hosted 67 vendors and 470 attendees at the 2018 event.
Mayor David Condon, County Commissioner Josh Kerns, and US Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers all attended and provided opening remarks in support of this valuable community event.

NEXT GEN JOB FAIR
We introduced the Next Gen Job Fair in 2016 as an event focused on helping teens and young adults connect with employers for their first job. We partnered with the Next Generation Zone and the Spokane Transit Authority to host this annual event for four years.
The event was intentionally held in the late Winter months as a way to prepare teens and young adults for Summer employment, we have not offered the hiring event in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 safety restrictions.
We are exploring potentially smaller-scale, more targeted hiring events for this demographic going forward.

Event Outcomes
The event was held in the remodeled rotunda on the 2nd floor of the STA Plaza. STA was an amazing partner, offering space and in-kind marketing for the event. Next Generation Zone students volunteered as event staff and did an amazing job.
