An Annual Event in Celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month

Each year in October, the Spokane Workforce Council, WorkSource Spokane, Spokane County, and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation partner to offer the Access Spokane Job Fair, a hiring, resource, and education event held in celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The event is designed to bring together job candidates, employers, service providers, educators, and students for employment opportunities, assistive technology demonstrations, and resources for individuals and veterans with disabilities.

This virtual community event is free for employers, resource providers, and job seekers. The registration process is simple – the registration links below will direct you to Premier Virtual, our state-of-the-art online job fair platform. Once your profile is created, all that’s left is to indicate that you’re attending the 2021 Access Spokane Job & Resource Fair. 

Job Seeker Registration

Early access to the virtual hiring event on October 4 will allow you to explore the registered employers and resource providers. The virtual booths will include information about their company, open positions, and more!

Employer/Resource Registration

Employer and resource provider registration also includes building your organization’s virtual booth. Instructional videos are available in Premier Virtual to assist with this process.

Virtual Only:

If you register for the virtual event, you will receive a follow-up email with instructions for signing into Premier Virtual, our online job fair platform. Instructional videos are available in Premier Virtual to assist with this process.

  1. Register your business for the event.
  2. Set-up your virtual booth. If you have participated in any of our past hiring events in Premier Virtual, you will log in to your account and update your booth accordingly.

For Job-Seekers

No pre-registration is required for either event. However, the virtual event on October 19 requires account creation in the Premier Virtual platform. Create your account early to prevent any delays entering the event on the 19th. You’ll also have the option of uploading a resume and pre-viewing attending employers.

Q: How much does the event cost?
A: The event is free!

Q: What employers and resource providers are attending?

Q: I don’t have a disability (or I don’t want to disclose my disability), but I’m looking for a job. Can I attend?
A: Yes! Although the focus of the event is on helping connect job seekers with disabilities with local employers,  this event is open to any and all job seekers. 

Q: I have accessibility needs. What should I do?
A: You can request auxiliary aids and services by contacting WorkSource Spokane at 509.532.3120. Washington Relay: 711. ASL interpreters will be on-site during the in-person event as well. 

Q: Can I ride the bus to the event? 
A: Yes! STA bus stop #1007, Washington @ North River Drive, is right outside the Centennial, and bus routes 11, 27, and 39 all stop there. 

Q: If I drive, is parking free?
A: Yes! Any lot marked with Centennial signage will be free to attendees. Parking lot arms will be up, and no tickets are required. View the parking map here.

Q: I receive Unemployment Insurance. Does attending this event count as an approved job search activity? 
A: Yes! Come connect live with a variety of employers and resource providers, and also count it as an approve job search activity. Both the in-person and virtual events can count.

Job Fair Prep Session
WorkSource Spokane is offering drop-in hours where anyone attending the job fair can prepare with a job coach.

When: October 13, any time between 1:00 and 3:00 pm.
