A series of case studies commissioned by the federal Department of Health & Human Services, Office of Family Assistance highlight the innovative coordination strategies of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) and WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) programs in serving low-income and vulnerable populations. Spokane was highlighted in the first report of the series, where WorkSource and partners have restructured staffing, resources, and approaches to workforce development services with a customer-centered design.
