The region’s largest hiring event just got bigger, bolder, and better. Yesterday was nothing short of incredible. When the doors opened, over 400 eager community members were already lined up, ready to see what the Career Expo had in store. Held on April 23, 2025, at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center, this year’s Spokane County Career Expo welcomed an estimated 1,500 attendees—marking our highest turnout in over six years and a pivotal moment in regional workforce development.
“New monthly job postings in Spokane County have slowed so far this year, so the Career Fair offered job seekers a tremendous opportunity to interact directly with employers who are actively looking to fill open jobs. The strong attendance at this year’s event really shows what a valuable asset the annual Career Fair is for the Spokane community.” – Mike McBride, Business & Industry Analyst, Spokane Workforce Council.
Now in its twelfth year, we’re incredibly proud of how far this event has come. Formerly known as the NonStop Local KHQ/WorkSource Spokane Job Fair, the reimagined Career Expo is no longer just a job fair—it’s a launchpad for success. Designed to meet the evolving needs of job seekers and employers alike, the event featured interactive career displays, on-site resume assistance, and mini workshops that offered not just opportunity, but direction.
Commissioner Josh Kerns, a member of the Spokane Workforce Council Board, kicked off the event with electric energy and a powerful reminder of how vital workforce development is to the health and future of our community. His message set the tone for a day filled with purpose, momentum, and connection.
“The turnout was something special—there was an undeniable energy in the room. You could see the drive in every job seeker, and our staff came ready to meet that energy head-on. Seeing over 1,500 community members show up for opportunities in our community demonstrates the value of the workforce system in the greater Spokane region.”
