Access Job Fair

An Annual Event in Celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

Each year in October, the Spokane Workforce Council, WorkSource Spokane, Spokane County, and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation partner to offer the annual Access Spokane Job Fair, a hiring, resource, and education event held in celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The event is designed to bring together job candidates, employers, service providers, educators, and students for employment opportunities, assistive technology demonstrations, and resources for individuals and veterans with disabilities.

We did make a job offer today to a candidate I met at the job fair, and we have two more interviews scheduled.

We hosted 67 vendors and 470 attendees at the 2018 event.

Mayor David Condon, County Commissioner Josh Kerns, and US Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers all attended and provided opening remarks in support of this valuable community event.
